I had one about 15 years ago.....hated it...lots of jams....never could sort it out.....sold it.

Bought a Taurus PT-22......same basic gun by Taurus but in a DAO....I've fired thousands of rounds in training on the PT22 (use it to simulate my Kel-Tec 3AT 380ACP)....same size, same DAO......never a problem with the PT-22

Perhaps they are better now.....good luck.

As I recall....the Beretta liked High Velocity.....like 22 Remington Thunderbolts.

A little pocket 22LR is a nice pistol.....it the day - it was king of small....now there are so many 32ACP/380ACP in the same size...and a lot more power.

But - still love the little 22LR for training and in a jam it can kill with the best, esp head shots.

cci is what I use. Keep it clean, if you take it out and shoot it be sure and clean it before you trust it. The mag holds 7. I found when I would load the mag to capacity and then put one in the pipe for a total of 8, I would experience jamming problems.

Keeping it clean and a max of 7 including the one in the pipe has worked for me. The tilt barrel feature is pretty nice for the those without adequate strength for racking the slide.

I have had one for almost 20 years, and it is a killer. I have carried it so much a lot of the blueing is worn off and there is a lot of wear on the plastic grips.
No matter, it go's bang every time I ask it to and although a .22 is not a big gun, I sure as hell don't want 7 hollow points in my chest.
You did good, CCI Stingers don't just go pop they BANG!
I think over time you will find that it is the best gun you ever bought.

Its the only automatic you can get started without racking the slide.:10_1_20:

I have one and stongly dislike it. The sights are terrible and it jams like no other firearm I've shot.
I wanted a .22 pistol for shooting on the cheap but it only works flawlessly with expensive CCI Stingers which also cause excessive wear on the internals.

I might keep it for 'last ditch efforts' so to speak, loaded with Stingers or give it to a girl for her purse gun.

How much internal wearing has gone on from Stingers? Have you always used that ammo over the years?

people seem to either love or hate this gun. i have a thing for beretta's, and this one's been looking at me every time i go in to gander mountain. i felt it was my duty to bring him home and put him in the case with big brother neos and 92fs.

Stingers yes, the gun doesn't like hornets or vipers. As for wear I think not those guns like heavy ammo and there is no slide rattle after all this time.
I have not had the jam issues other folks have stated, but I bought this gun in 1986 so any ammo issues have long since been solved.
I don't remember it ever having a jamming problem except for really cheap .22 and that was so long ago its a non issue.
The only thing I don't like about it is its a fat little gun and if its in your pocket its easy to see.

Sights? Just checked and you're correct those are terrible sights. Best to use it up close, kind of a last ditch effort sort of thing. If you use it for upclose and personal 'cause you have to and you've kept it clean be sure to use CCI Stingers because they work flawlessly.:coolbeer:

:beer:Nobody has seen my Bobcat because I haven't had to shoot anybody so far.Apparently folks love them or hate them but from my experience they are god awful deadly guns in the right hands.

Pick up one of these: http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ZAA917-33.html
Looks like a wallet in the front pocket.

That helps break up the profile, but they are one of the things that get tossed on a shelf after a while because they get annoying.
A holster is one thing, its in a fixed position, you deal with it.Pocket guns migrate, sometimes its front, back, coat pocket or pants.
That is problaby why so much of the finish is worn off.
